Bill’s Highlights - From high school I joined the Navy and after four years left the service as a Communications Technician, first class petty officer. Moving on to civilian life I sold life insurance and mutual funds in WY and CO.  I moved to Portland, OR in 1964 and worked for Northwest Natural Gas Co. for 13 years in residential and commercial sales consulting.

I have owned the land that we call “The Farm” since 1970.  After I built the horse barn in 1973 it has been in continuous use as a horse boarding facility. During the 70’s and eighties it was known as “Cabbage Hill Farms” where my former wife bred, raised, showed and boarded almost exclusively Arabian and Miniature Horses.

1978 found me back in my hometown of Laramie, WY where I went into remodeling and building which then lead me to real estate investing. After having several successful projects there, Connie and I moved to Arizona for three summers. After working as the Manager of Production at Arizona Shower Doors we moved back to Oregon.  In recent years you can find me on my tractor at the FARM.  Yes, busy filling up the barn with hay and grooming the fields for the horses.

Connies Highlights -In my younger years I worked as a long distance telephone operator and then as a bank teller and savings counselor at the local bank in Ft. Collins, CO. I moved on to being a hair stylist after the required study and worked in that area for almost 11 years.  After Bill and I met and married, I helped him out with building three four-plex apartment buildings in Laramie, WY.  We put our young boys to work on the project also.  We then built and established a hair salon in Laramie and I operated that business for two years before we moved on to Arizona. 1990 brought us to the FARM where I have done everything from book work to all sorts of horse care and assisted Bill with the building projects. Oh yes, we have white board fence so you know I have had a roller in my hands a lot.

Family Info - We have been married over 25 years and we each have two children and a total of nine grandchildren ranging in age from 6 years to 21 years old. They are a real joy to watch grow and change.  Some of them live in Colorado and some live here in Oregon. Fun to have them visit us on the FARM.

Next on the Agenda - We will continue to live in the beautiful Columbia River Gorge on this active horse farm as well as travel around the country visiting family, friends and seeing new sights.   In 2003 we traversed the country from coast to coast and border to border.  Good timing with the gas prices now so high!
